INNOVATING WITH BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS | KOBI KALDERON | FROM ISRAEL

Research indicates that innovating your business model can create up to 25 times the competitive advantage compared to product and process innovation. However, only 17% of companies have evaluated their business model against their competitors.

High-performing organizations excel at managing business models. Therefore, this course focuses on the managerial issues and challenges that established organizations face when managing and innovating business models. Among the dilemmas are the need to balance short-term and long-term perspectives and the understanding that today’s business model may not be the solution for tomorrow. Another central discussion is whether a business model is a subject or an object, exploring the managerial challenges if a business model is the core logic of a business and thus intangible.

The Business Model Canvas (BMC) provides the structure of a business plan without the overhead, combining the clarity of a detailed plan with the simplicity of a ‘back of the napkin’ sketch, minus the fuzziness (and coffee rings).
